FAQ

What is Hypnosis?

Hypnosis is an open state of mind. It is a natural phenomenon, often described as a deep state of relaxation and concentration. The mind distances itself from the daily worries and activities. During hypnosis you do not sleep and you are not unconscious. It is a changing state of consciousness, often referred to as a “trance”. A positive state of being, also called a hypnotic state or a state of creative relaxation.

How does hypnosis work?

During the session I gently guide you to a state of deep relaxation. You can achieve this by following my simple instructions. Once you are completely relaxed, we focus on what you need help with. You let yourself be carried away with my flow of words, instructions and the different mental exercises. Specially designed to help you achieve positive change.

Why does hypnosis work?

Hypnosis works because it allows you to communicate directly with your subconscious mind. The invisible part of your mind that controls you every waking moment. Bypassing the conscious part of the mind is what makes hypnosis so effective. Once the subconscious accepts newer, better ideas and beliefs, they will be carried out through the body.

Does hypnosis work for me?

The vast majority of people are able to relax themselves deeply enough. So that they go into a light trance and the access to the subconscious is open to let the suggestions in. If you are willing to listen while relaxing as deeply as possible, you will experience the benefits of hypnosis. I am convinced and in my experience that most people benefit from self-hypnosis. I can’t predict how it will work for you, because everyone is unique. And therefore your experience with hypnosis will be unique as well.

How long does a session last?

Most sessions last between 1,5 and 2 hours.
